Men’s Soccer
- This week’s matches:
- Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – North Greenville
- Saturday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – Queens
- Last week’s matches:
- Belmont Abbey (W) – 1-0
- Erskine (W) – 1-0 (OT)
- After a pair of 1-0 victories last week, the Cobra men have now
won eight of their last nine, including winning four in a row. This
week they will look to continue their streak with a pair of
Conference Carolinas home matches against North Greenville and
Queens.
Women’s Soccer
- This week’s matches:
- Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. (H) – North Greenville
- Saturday at 4:30 p.m. (H) – Queens
- Last week’s matches:
- Belmont Abbey (L) – 1-0
- Erskine (W) – 2-0
- The women picked up their third win in the last six matches
last week with a 2-0 victory over Erskine. This week the Cobras
will host North Greenville and Queens in a pair of conference
matches. Currently, sophomore goalkeeper Lizz Morris is ranked No.
2 in the nation in saves with 124.
Women’s Volleyball
- This week’s matches:
- Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – Francis Marion
- Last week’s matches:
- Erskine (L) – 3-1
- Queens (L) – 3-0
- Pfeiffer (L) – 3-0
- Women’s volleyball hosts local rival Francis Marion
University on Tuesday night in their lone match of the week. The
SAAC Committee will be selling rally towels for $2 at the match
with proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Men’s & Women’s Cross
Country
- This week’s meet:
- Conference Carolinas Championship at Charlotte, N.C. –
Oct. 19
- Last week’s meet:
- Royals Challenge – women 23 of 25, men 15 of 21
- After two strong finishes at the Royals Challenge the cross
country teams will hit the trails for the Conference Carolinas
Championship this week. Josh Petterson, Tom Sizeland and Dylan
Bates set the pace for the men’s team at the Royals Challenge
with three times under 27-minutes, while Naomi Watson had her best
time of the season at 21:57.
Women’s Golf
- This week’s tournaments:
- Patsy Rendelman Invitational at Salisbury, N.C. – Oct.
15-16
- Montreat Invitational at Brevard, N.C. – Oct. 20-21
- The Coker women hit the links for two tournaments this week.
First they will begin the week at the Patsy Rendelman Invitational
in Salisbury, N.C. Then they will close out the week at the
Montreat Invitational in Brevard, N.C. These tournaments will be
the final tournaments of the fall season for the Cobra women.
Important Upcoming Events
- SAAC Committee’s Week of Wishes
- This week the Coker Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)
will be sponsoring their week of wishes for the Make-A-Wish
Foundation. Throughout the week the SAAC Committee will be at
various Coker Athletic events raising money for Make-A-Wish.
- Tuesday at women’s volleyball- SAAC will be selling rally
towels for $2/towel. They will also be raffling off an iPod. Raffle
tickets are $1/ticket or 6 tickets for $5.
