The "Cobra Spotlight" is a weekly highlight of a student-athlete at Coker College. Each week we take a different athlete from a different sport and display some facets to get more familiar with them. Men’s Soccer

• This week’s matches:
  • Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. (A) – Mount Olive
  • Saturday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – Limestone

• Last week’s matches:
  • North Greenville (W) – 3-0
  • Queens (W) – 2-1

• The men extended their winning streak to six and moved to second in the Conference Carolinas standings with a pair of victories last week. This week the regionally ranked No. 10 Cobras will play their last two regular season matches of the season, including taking on first place Limestone in the regular season finale on Saturday, Oct. 27.

Women’s Soccer

• This week’s matches:
  • Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. (V) – Mount Olive
  • Saturday at 4:30 p.m. (H) – Limestone

• Last week’s matches:
  • North Greenville (T) – 1-1 (2OT)
  • Queens  (L) – 4-0

• This week the Coker women will play their final two regular season matches of the season. Currently, the Cobras are in ninth place in the Conference Carolinas standings. The top eight teams advance to the post season.

Women’s Volleyball

• This week’s matches:
  • Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – UNC Pembroke
  • Friday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – Mount Olive
  • Saturday at 12:30 p.m. (H) - Barton

• Last week’s matches:
  • Francis Marion (L) – 3-1

• This week the women’s volleyball team will host a trio of home matches, including two Conference Carolinas matches against Mount Olive and Barton.

Men’s & Women’s Cross Country

• This week’s meet:
  • None

• Last week’s meet:
  • Conference Carolinas Championship – women 12 of 12, men 7 of 10

• After a successful run at the Conference Carolinas Championship, the men’s and women’s cross country teams will take a week break before returning to the trails for the NCAA Southeast Regional on Nov. 3.

Women’s Golf

• This week’s tournaments:
  • None

• Last week’s tournament:
  • Patsy Rendelman Invitational – 15 of 16
  • Montreat Invitational – 2^nd Place

• The Coker women finished up their fall season with two spectacular performances last week, including a second place finish at the Montreat Invitational. Individually, Krista Thorpe shot the lowest round in program history, a 77 during the second round of the Patsy Rendelman Invitational.

Men’s Golf

  • Matt Dyes Invitational at Carrollton, Ga. – Oct. 28-29

• Last week’s tournament:
  • None

• This week the nationally ranked No. 10 Cobras will hit the links for their final tournament of the season. The men will be looking to cap off a sensational fall season in this final tournament.
