Cobra Club BINGO Night – Thursday, April 11

Calling all BINGO enthusiasts! The Coker College Cobra Club will be hosting a BINGO Night on Thursday, April 11, 2013. BINGO Night will be a fundraiser for the Cobra Club with all proceeds benefiting Coker’s athletic teams.

Admission is free and cards start at $1 with tons of prizes for everyone. BINGO Night will be held in Coker’s Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Men’s Volleyball

  • This week’s matches:
    • Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. (A) – Belmont Abbey
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Limestone (L) – 3-0
    • King (L) – 3-2
    • Barton (W) – 3-1
  • The men’s volleyball team will play their final match of the 2013 season on Tuesday against Conference Carolinas rival Belmont Abbey. The Cobras defeated the Crusaders in their first meeting of the season, 3-1 on Feb. 27.

    • Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. (A) – UNC Pembroke
    • Thursday at 3:00 p.m. (H) – Paine
  • Last week’s games:
    • Benedict – (W) 13-4
    • North Greenville – (W) 5-3, (W) 3-2, (W) 13-3
  • The baseball team swept North Greenville last week to move into sole position of second place in the Conference Carolinas standings at 11-7. This week the Cobras will take on two non-conference opponents, UNC Pembroke (Wed.) and Paine (Thurs.).

  • Last week’s games:

  • Last week the softball team swept Lander to improve to 20-12 on the year. This week they will host Anderson in a non-conference double-header on Thursday before hitting the road for a pair of conference series at Lees-McRae (Sat.) and King (Sun.).

Men’s and Women’s Tennis

  • This week’s matches:
    • Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. (A) – Shaw
    • Saturday at 12:00 p.m. (A) – Erskine
    • Sunday at 1:00 p.m. (H) – Belmont Abbey
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Citadel – (L) 6-3 – men
    • North Greenville – (L) 6-3 – women, (W) 9-0 – men
    • Limestone – (L) 7-2 – women, (W) 5-4 – men  
  • The Coker men continued their superb play against Conference Carolinas competition, improving to 7-0 in the conference. The Cobras are now in sole possession of first place in the conference standings. This week both the men and the women will travel to Shaw University (Wed.) and Erskine (Sat.) before retuning home to face Belmont Abbey (Sun.).

Men’s Lacrosse

    • Saturday at 6:00 p.m. (H) – Lenoir-Rhyne
  • Last week’s games:
    • Florida Southern (L) – 12-7
  • The men’s lacrosse team came up short against Florida Southern last week. This week the Cobras will host Lenoir-Rhyne in a non-conference game.

Men’s Golf

  • This week’s tournaments:

  • Last week’s tournaments:
    • Bearcat Golf Classic – 12 of 18
    • UNCP Campbell Oil Intercollegiate – 7 of 12
  • The men’s golf team picked up a top 15 finish and a top 10 finish last week. Nicklaus Kennedy and Christopher Fuga led the way for the Cobras in the two events.
