Alyssa Sotomayor joined the Coker sports medicine staff as an athletic trainer in July of 2013.
Sotomayor came to Coker after serving as the head athletic trainer at Fort White High School in Fort White, FL for two years. In addition to working at Fort White, Sotomayor was an athletic trainer for the University of Florida soccer, tennis and volleyball camps, and she worked at the Gainsville Soccer Alliance Showcase Tournaments and Sunshine State Games.
A graduate of Ithaca College, Alyssa served as a student trainer at Ithaca covering baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s track and field, and wrestling. During her time at Ithaca she also served as an athletic training intern at Coach Wootten’s Basketball Camp and with the Newark Bears Baseball team.
Alyssa earned her bachelor’s in athletic training at Ithaca and she holds a master’s degree from the University of Florida in applied physiology and kinesiology.
