KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Coker men’s golf team finished in fourth place at the Seventh Annual Kiawah Island Invitational hosted by USC-Aiken. The Cobras finished with a two round total of 595 (+19) behind tournament champion Barton College (582, +6), USC-Beaufort (584, +8) and Georgia College and State University (585, +9) at the 6,875-yard, par 72 Cougar Point Golf Course. Leading the pack is nationally ranked #6 Georgia College and State University at four over par (292), followed by Barton College and USC-Beaufort at five over (293). HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College freshman golfer, Jake Murphy is going to have to make room in his trophy case if his first year as a Cobra is any indication of his future. The Hamilton, N.J. native added two more accolades to his growing list over the summer as he was named to the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Division II All-Freshman Team and he was selected as a PING All-Region golfer.
