Raleigh, NC- Coker had six pitchers combine to throw an astonishing 78 pitches in nine innings, while only allowing two hits in the Cobras 10-0 victory over St. Augustine College on Tuesday afternoon in collegiate baseball.

 

Jayson Clarke (3-2) picked up the win, in the six man rotation. Senior Nic Fletcher led the offensive attack going 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored, while juniors Brian Nally and Mike Pitkewicz each collected two hits and two RBIs for Coker, as Nally finished 2-for-5 with a double and Pitkewicz went 2-for-4. Also chipping in was junior Brian Johanson with a two run in the park home run.

 

Coker improves to 7-6-1 on the year.

 

The Cobras return to action on Thursday, March 2, at 12:00 p.m., as they travel to Belmont Abbey for their second conference series this season.
