In game one, Coker gave up three runs in the third off a sacrifice fly from the Saints Zachary Watkins, and a two run home run from Joey Asis. The Cobras tied the game with three runs of their own in the bottom of the fourth off a two RBI single from Steven Evans and a sacrifice fly from Brantley Bell.
Limestone took a two run lead with a run in the fifth and the sixth, before Coker tacked on a run of their own in the bottom of the sixth, cutting the deficit to one, 5-4.
After a scoreless seventh, Limestone added a pair of insurance runs in the eighth and ninth, for the 7-4 victory.
Brad Boob (1-7) took the loss, going 7 1/3 innings, allowing six runs on 11 hits with four strike outs.
Tyler Anderson earned the win for the Saints, throwing a complete game, allowing four runs on seven hits, with five strike outs.
Leading the Cobras at the plate were Brian Johanson, Eric Losten and Evans. Johanson was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, while Losten was 2-for-5 and Evans was 1-for-4 with two RBIs.
For Limestone, Daniel Lydon, Taylor Cook, Paul Irby and Dylan Anthony each had two hits in the game and an RBI, with Lydon scoring two runs and Anthony scoring one. Asis finished 1-for-4 with a homer, two RBIs and a run scored.
Game two was a back and forth battle for the very beginning. Coker jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with a run in the first and the second, but Limestone would not be out done, scoring two runs in the top of the third tying the game.
The Cobras bounced right back and tacked on two more in the bottom of the fourth, thanks to a two run blast over the left field fence from Ben Davidson. The Saints charged right back added two runs in the fifth on a solo home run from Tyler Midgett and RBI single from Matt Craig.
Coker did not let the score remain tied for long as they piled on another two runs in the bottom half fifth, with the help of a Julio Gomez homer and Brian Nally sacrifice fly.
Nally drove home another run in the sixth, when he and Losten hit back to back doubles, giving Coker a 7-4 lead.
Matt Conyers (3-3) earned the win, throwing a complete game, allowing four runs on 11 hits with four strike outs.
Shane Suter took the loss coming on in relief, allowing two runs on three hits, with two walks.
Leading hitters for Coker were, Evans, Losten, Gomez, Ryan Schaeffer and Nally. Evans was 3-for-3 with two doubles and a triple, while Losten, Gomez and Schaeffer were each 2-for-4, with Gomez hitting a home run and a triple, while driving in a run and Losten and Schaeffer hitting a double each. Nally finished 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and Davidson was 1-for-2 with a home run and three RBIs.
Limestone was led by Zachary Watkins, going 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored, while Midgett was 2-for-3 with a home run, an RBI and a run scored. Craig was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and Phillip Soden was 2-for-4.
Coker and Limestone will complete their three game CVAC series Sunday, with game time at 1:00 p.m.
