2012-13: Did not play this season.

High School: Gainey helped lead Alonso High School to the 2011 Florida 6A State Championship. HE batted .400 with a .529 on-base percentage and 11 stolen bases during his senior season.

Personal: Son of Alexandra and Steve Gainey...he is the third member of his family to attend Coker College; great aunt Wanda Hall and cousin Cliff Jones.
