The Bulldogs, winners of 10 straight and unbeaten in seven outings in the “Dog House,” improved to 15-1 overall and 12-0 in the Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference. The Cobras exited at 5-13 overall and 4-8 in league action.
Barton trailed 10-7 five minutes into the game, but the Bulldogs rattled off 15 unanswered points for a 22-7 lead and coasted the rest of the way. They led 34-20 at halftime and 55-22 with remaining. The Cobras, who hit but 1-of-19 shots from 3-point land and 26.9 percent from the floor, scored just 12 points in the 20 minutes of game time after taking the 10-7 lead.
Barton, off to the best start in school history, also dominated the backboards 49-28.
