Coastal Georgia Tops Coker 67-65

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – Julian Nelson scored a team high 25 points for the Cobras in their 67-65 loss to the Coastal Georgia Mariners in men's basketball action on Tuesday (Nov. 20).

Coker led 33-28 at the break, but a late second half surge by the Mariners led to their victory. The Cobras led in nearly every statistical category, including hitting 47 percent (25-of-53) from the field and 46 percent (6-of-13) from beyond the arc. Coker also outscored Coastal Georgia in the paint 32-22.

Also scoring in double figures for Coker was Sharod Williams with 12 points and four rebounds, while Austin Harper scored eight points and pulled down a team high five rebounds.

The Cobras will be back on the court on Saturday in their first game of the Zaxby's Tip-Off Clazzic at Francis Marion University. Coker will take on UNC Pembroke at 1 p.m.
