GREENVILLE, NC – Coker’s golf team sits in 9th place after the first day of the Bradford Creek Invitational, hosted by East Carolina University.  The team plays the second and final round on Saturday, beginning at 8:10 AM.

 

The Cobras are representing themselves well in a loaded field of almost exclusively NCAA Division I teams.  Only two of the 20 teams participating come from Division II and CC leads CVAC rival Belmont Abbey by 13 strokes.  Leading the tournament are Campbell University and Miami of Ohio with a score of 284.  The Cobras are nine-strokes back with a 293 first-day total. 

 

Vincent Dumauchel is three strokes behind the leaders with a first day 71 and is tied for 14th on the leaderboard.  Benoit Gordon shot a 72 to tie for 17th while Louis-Pierre Godin and Johary Raveloarison are in a group tied for 47th with a 75.
