Daniels, WV- The Coker Golf Team completed their 2005-2006 season with an eleventh place finish at the 2006 NCAA Men’s Golf National Championship. The Cobras completed the final round with a 300 (+20), giving them a four round total of 1203 (+83).

 

The University of South Carolina Aiken was the overall winner, giving them their third straight national championship. Columbus State came in second place and California State Bakersfield finished in third.

 

Individually, Jamie Amoretti of St. Mary’s (TX) was the overall winner with an even par 280.

 

For Coker, Blaine Rogers finished tied for 23rd with a 295 (+15), while Vincent Dumouchel shot 297 (+17). Johary Raveloarison had a four round total of 305 (+25) and Gary Morgan shot 311 (+31). Benoit Gordon rounds out the Coker five with a 323 (+43).

 

Coker completed their best season ever, winning the CVAC Championship, won the Atlantic Regional and qualified for the NCAA National Championship for the first time ever as a team.
