Kiawah Island, S.C. – Chris Marsh (Georgetown, SC) defeated J.P. Solis of USC-Aiken in a sudden death playoff, to take home medalist honors at the 2008 Kiawah Island Invitational hosted by USC-Aiken. Marsh shot a second round three under par 69, giving him a two day total of 133. As a team the Cobras placed second, shooting 11 under par as a team, six shots behind USC-Aiken.

Trey Bridwell (Greer, SC) finished in the top five with a fourth place finish, shooting a two under par 70 in the second round, while John LaDow (Pottstown, PA) shot a three over 75 in the second round, placing him in a tie for 23rd. Jimmy Gillam (Tyrone, PA) and Diego Polo (Guatemala City, Guatemala) rounded out the Cobras five, firing a four over 74 and one over 73 respectively.

The Cobras will take the links for their next tournament in two weeks, as they host the Fourth Annual Coker Invitational at Orange County National in Orlando, Fla. on September 22-23.
