Coker Men Open Conference Tournament in Sixth

VAAS, N.C. – Freshman Christopher Fuga leads the way for the Coker men's golf team, as they are in sixth place after the first day of play at the 2012 Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Tournament.  Fuga is tied for 15th after shooting 75 and 77 in the opening two rounds of play.

King College leads the field at 595 (+19), followed by Barton College in second at 597 (+21) and Belmont Abbey College in third at 606 (+30). Coker trails King by 18 strokes at 613 (+37).

Following Fuga is Josh Clay in 20th with scores of 80 and 73. Jake Murphy shot 77 and 78, while Jared Crane carded rounds of 76 and 80. Diego Polo rounded out the field for the Cobras with rounds of 77 and 81.

The Cobras return to the course for the final 18 holes of play on Tuesday starting at 8:30 a.m.
