Daniel Claytor joined the Coker staff as the assistant coach for the men's and women's golf programs in January of 2014.
Claytor came to Coker after a stellar four-year playing career at Barton College. A three-time PING All-American and All-Southeast Region selection, he was named Barton's Male Athlete of the Year twice (2011, 2012) and he was named Conference Carolinas Men's Golfer of the Year in 2011. During his time as a Bulldog he won six collegiate events, competed in the NCAA Division II National Championship Touranment twice (2010, 2012) and he set Barton's single season scoring record of 72.31 in 2011-12.
A native of Rocky Mount, N.C., Claytor was a three-time captain of the Barton men's golf team and was a member of Barton's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Barton.
