BANNER ELK, N.C. – Coker suffered a 1-0 overtime loss to the Bobcats of Lees-McRae in their Conference Carolinas match on Saturday evening.
After 90 minutes of scoreless play, Lees-McRae found the back of the net when a failed clear by a Cobra defender deflected into the net.
James Sweeney made five saves for the Cobras, while as a team Coker had eight shots and 10 corners.
Coker returns home for their next match on Thursday (Oct. 4) against Barton College. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
