BRISTOL, TENN. – The Coker men's volleyball team lost 3-1 in a Conference Carolinas competition on Friday (Feb. 1) against King University Tornado.

The Cobras got off to a slow start and found them selves down 2-0, after losing 25-10 and 25-20.  Coker however, did not surrender in the third set and battled to a 27-25 victory to force a fourth set.  The Cobras' effort was unfortunately not enough, as the Tornado took control of the match with a 25-20 win in the fourth and final set.

Luke Hansen led the Cobras with a match high 16-kills.  That mark puts Hansen as the leader in the kill's category for the Cobras for three straight matches.  Christopher Gbelay was right behind Hansen with 13-kills, followed by Jared Geizer with 10.  Ricardo Ferrer had a team high 37-assists along with 10-digs and five kills.  Cooper Lyon contributed eight digs, and Liam Flaherty collected six.
