Cobras Drop Thursday Evening Match at NJIT

NEWARK, N.J. – The Coker College men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-18) match on Thursday (Mar. 9) evening to Division I opponent New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).

Joao Victor Santos led the offensive attack for the Navy and Gold with seven kills. Sanjae Holloway added three kills and compiled an impressive .600 hitting percentage. In addition, Stephen Porras led the Cobras in assists, dishing out seven.

On the defensive end of the ball, Luca Berger made his presence known with three total blocks. Gregory Esquivel was a key contributor as well with a team-best seven digs.

The Cobras will round out their nine-game road trip, which began on Feb. 10, when they travel to Princeton and take on the Tigers on Saturday (Feb. 11) evening. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
