Coker Golf To Compete in Smoky Mountain Intercollegiate

SEVIERVILLE, TENN. – The Coker men's and women's golf teams will compete in the Smoky Mountain Intercollegiate on Monday (Sept. 9) hosted by Carson-Newman University.

Leading the men will be all-conference selection Christopher Fuga and junior Aaron Beebe.  Both Fuga and Beebe lead the Cobras with lowest stroke averages per round last year at 75.2 and 77.1.

On the women's side, senior Krista Thorpe, junior Mallory Thompkins, and sophomore Taylor Demby will be leading the way for Coker.  Both Thorpe and Thompkins led the Cobras last year with the lowest stroke averages of 84.8, while Demby was close behind with an average of 85. 

The two-day tournament will consist 36 total holes, with 18 being played each day.  The first group will tee-off tomorrow morning at 8 a.m.
