NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Coker women's soccer team lost their non-conference match 4-0 to the Wolves of Newberry on Thursday (Sept. 13).
The game started off slow, as both teams battled for the lead position. With three minutes left in the first half, the Wolves scored to take a 1-0 lead into the locker room.
Coker struggled to find their offensive rhythm in the second half. The Cobras took six shots at the Newberry cage, but could not connect. The Wolves picked up the pace in the second half, scoring three more goals and taking a comfortable 4-0 lead.
The Cobras start their Conference Carolinas play on the road as they travel to King College on Tuesday (Sept. 18). The match will commence at 2 p.m.
