Coker Women's Soccer Falls to Wingate

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's soccer team suffered a 5-0 loss to Wingate University on Wednesday (Oct. 9) in a SAC game at the Coker Soccer Field.

Wingate came out strong, scoring two goals in the first half.  They continued an aggressive offensive attack in the second half and went on to score three more goals. 

Lizz Morris added 12 more saves to her total for the Cobras, including a diving fingertip save off a penalty kick in the first half.

Coker will hit the road for their next game, as they travel face Mars Hill in a SAC competition this Saturday (Oct. 12).  Game time is set for a 2:00 PM kick-off.
