Hartsville, SC- The Lady Cobras played the nationally ranked USC Aiken women’s team but were easily beaten and lost 9-0. The lady Cobras fought hard in the doubles but went three zero down. Ashley Shaum and Jen Konopa battled well but lost 8-2 to the number three pair. The number one doubles pair for USC Aiken beat Spencer and Santos 8-0.

 

Singles went a similar way for the Cobras with USC Aiken coming out strong and dominating the Cobras. Andrea Santos played well at number one but lost 6-3, 6-1 to Junior Nicole Copp. Ashley Schaum also battled at the number six slot but lost to Marine Cannic 6-1, 6-2.

 

The Lady Cobras are now 2-2 and next play on the 22nd February in conference away and St Andrews.
