The singles however were mostly dominated by Methodist who bought out a very strong singles line up. Jill Smith played three for the Cobras and played solid tennis throughout the match. Smith moved her opponent around the court and took the first set 6-4. The long rallies continued the match went to a second set tie break. Smith played well in the breaker but came up a little short and lost the tie break 7-3. The match continued to a third set where the high quality tennis continued. Smith again tried to move her opponent around the court but her Methodist opponent stepped up her game and won the deciding set 6-2. The remaining singles matches were mostly one side with Methodist dominating and they took all six singles matches.
