Hartsville, SC- The Lady Cobras got another conference win Monday as they beat Lees – McRae College 7-2. Coker started off well in doubles with Andrea Santos and Ashley Pace convincingly beat the No. 2 pair from Lees – McRae 8-1. The No. 1 pair for Coker, Jill Smith and Rachel Lemar played solid tennis at the net to win 8-6. The score after doubles put the Cobras in front 2-1.


Lemar came out playing great tennis in the first set and took it 6-2. Ashley Mayers from Lees – McRae battled hard in the second, however Lemar took the set 7-5 to win the match. Cassidy Spencer bought home another win for the Cobras as she won convincingly at No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-3. Coker secured the win for the day when Ashley Pace won at No. 5 singles 6-0, 6-4.


This moves the Cobras to 7-3 in conference and 10-8 for the year. The Cobras go to the conference tournament this Thursday in Sumter, SC.
