Charlotte, NC- The Cobras Volleyball Team snapped a two game losing skid with a 3-0 victory over Queens University on Tuesday night in Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference volleyball. With scores of 30-17, 30-22 and 34-32 Coker took the match in three straight games. The win improves the Cobras to 14-12 overall, and 12-6 in the CVAC.
Leading the Cobras were Margaret Madison and Megan Haupt, with 13 and 11 kills respectively, while Madison added 13 digs and six blocks. Tara Nelson gave Coker 35 assists in the match, with Kelsey Carlson netting nine digs.
Coker’s next match is at home on Friday, October 27, against Anderson University. Coker is 0-1 versus the Trojans this season and needs a victory to move up in the CVAC standings. The match begins at 6:30 p.m. at Coker’s Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium.
