Coker Hoping for Continued Success Against West Georgia

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – On Tuesday (Mar. 19) and Wednesday (Mar. 20) the Coker Cobras will host the West Georgia Wolves in a pair of non-conference baseball games. Live coverage of the games will be available online at

Coker (16-8) won two of three games against Pfeiffer in their Conference Carolinas series over the weekend. Fico Kondla continues to be on fire at the plate for the Cobras. He is batting .447 with eight doubles, a home run and 20 RBIs.

Tyler Witzel and Zach Loraine lead the pitching staff. Witzel has posted a record of 5-2 with a 3.00 ERA in 36 innings of work, while Loraine has eight saves with 25 strikeouts and a 1.85 ERA in 24.1 innings on the mound.

West Georgia (17-8) comes into the series having won two of three games against Shorter University in their most recent series. Shaquille Jackson leads the Wolves offense with a .394 batting average, two doubles and 14 RBIs. 

First pitch for both games is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Coker's Tom J. New Field.
