Kiawah Island, SC- After day one of the Kiawah Island Invitational, Coker College is placed 15th out of 16 teams with a score of 318, 30 over par. The third annual Kiawah Island Invitational is a two-day event is being contested at the 6,875 yard, par 72 Cougar Point Golf Course.  Designed by Gary Player, the course was rated “4.5 stars” by Golf Digest.


Leading the for the Cobras is senior Blaine Rogers who is tied for seventh after shooting a even par 72. Next in line for the Cobras is Andrew Efird shooting a nine over 81, while Benoit Gordon shot a 10 over 82. Rounding out the field for the Cobras were Jay Goldenberg and Chris Marsh who shot 83 and 85 respectively.


Coker continues the second and final round of the Kiawah Island Invitational on Tuesday, September 12, with teams teeing off starting at 8:00 a.m.
