Coker Falls to No. 10 Pfeiffer 9-1

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker freshman attacker John Bretton (Palm Beach Garden, Fla.) scored the Cobras lone goal of the game, in their 9-1 loss to No. 10 Pfeiffer University on Friday night. The loss is Coker's first in Conference Carolinas play.

Pfeiffer scored seven unanswered goals before Bretton netted his goal in the fourth quarter with an assist from Alex Salepeitro (Setauket, N.Y.).

The Cobras played tough defense throughout the entire game with goalie Tim Ryan (Glocester, R.I.) making 10 saves.

The Cobras will be back in action on Sunday at noon at home against the University of Tampa.

Bretton scored the Cobras lone goal in the game.

The McDonald's Player of the Game is presented by the Hartsville McDonald's and is given to the most outstanding performer during each Coker College home athletic event.
