2016-17: Did not compete this season.
High School: Murray attended Darlington High School where he ran cross country and track and field for the Falcons. On the track, his team was the 2016 Region 6 3A runner-ups. He was a member of the top 4x 800 team in Region 6 3A and finished in second in the 800-meter dash. He posted times of 1:03.70 in the 400-meter hurdles, 55.17 in the 400-meter dash and 2:12.55 in the 800-meter dash. He was also a state qualifier. Off the track, he was a member of the honor roll.
