HICKORY, N.C. – The Coker women's basketball team lost to Lenoir-Rhyne in the South Atlantic Conference quarterfinals by a score of 82-69, at Shuford Gymnasium on Wednesday (Mar. 5).
The Cobras and Bears battled to a 13-13 tie, midway through the first half. LR however, would go on a 28-16 run to end the half and take a 41-29 lead into the locker room.
At the start of the second half, Coker fought their way back to cut the Bears' lead to just seven. However, 50-percent shooting from the floor and 92-percent from the charity stripe would keep Lenoir-Rhyne ahead on the scoreboard as the clock struck zero.
