Andrew Goot, Baseball

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Andrew Goot (Oldsmar, Fla.) of the Coker baseball team has been named the Heritage Community Bank Student-Athlete of the Month for February 2012.

Goot had an outstanding month of February going 3-2 on the mound with a 3.09 ERA and 27 strikeouts. He was named the NCAA Division II National Pitcher of the Week, as well as Conference Carolinas Pitcher of the Week in the final week of February.

So far this season, Goot is 5-2 with a 2.81 ERA. He has struck out 34 batters in 48 innings on the hill.
