Cobras Release 2023/24 Winter Schedule
Hartsville, SC- Coker Athletics has unveiled its schedules for the 2023/24 winter season.
The men's basketball schedule is released below, and it features a mix of home and away games as well as neutral site matchups. The season kicks off on November 10, 2023, with a game against Emmanuel (Ga.) at a neutral location. The following day, the team will face Southern Wesleyan at another neutral site. On November 15, the team will have their first home game of the season against Francis Marion. This will be followed by an away game against Claflin on November 18. The team will then have back-to-back away games against Johnson C. Smith and Livingstone on November 24 and 25, respectively. Returning home, the team will face Johnson C. Smith once again on November 29. In December, the team will have an away game against Emory & Henry on December 2. This will be followed by a home game against Tusculum on December 9. On December 13, the team will face Wingate at home, and on December 16, they will face Lenoir-Rhyne at home as well. The new year will start with a home game against Catawba on January 3, 2024. This will be followed by a home game against Lincoln Memorial on January 6. On January 10, the team will have an away game against Mars Hill, and on January 13, they will face Newberry on the road. The team will then have an away game against Converse on January 17. Returning home, the team will face Virginia-Wise on January 20. The wrestling schedule is filled with tough opponents and exciting tournaments. The season is set to begin on November 1, 2023, with a home match against St. Andrews University. The Coker wrestlers are thrilled to kick off the season on their home turf and were determined to start strong. Just a few days later, on November 4, the team will head to the Glenville State Invitational, where they will face off against some of the top wrestling programs in the region. The competition will be fierce, but the Coker wrestlers are confident in their abilities. On November 5, Coker will travel to Pembroke for the Pembroke Open. Next up on the schedule is a home match against LMU on November 8. The Coker wrestlers always look forward to competing against their rivals from Lincoln Memorial University, and this year would be no different. Both teams want to come out on top, and the match is sure to be intense. The team will then have a bit of a break before their next tournament, the Citadel Open on November 12.
