Orangeburg, S.C. – The Coker Baseball Team improved their record to 3-0 with a 7-6 win over Claflin University on Tuesday afternoon in NCAA Division II baseball.

Tom Oschip (Concord, OH) (1-0) earned the win, while Chris Thomas (Bluffton, SC) (1) tossed the final three innings and picked up his save of the year.

Leading the Coker offense was BK Harfst (Arvada, CO), going 2-for-4 with three RBIs, while Taylor Evans (Arvada, CO) was 2-for-5 with two RBIs. Brinley Griffin (Port St. John, FL) was 3-for-5 with an RBI and Ellis Logeman (Suwanee, GA) was 3-for-4.

The Cobras will host Benedict College in their home opener on Wednesday, at Tom J. New Field. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
