Hartsville, S.C. – Coker and Limestone continued their three game Conference Carolinas baseball series with a double-header on Sunday afternoon at Tom J. New Field. Limestone took both games of the double-header, winning game one 6-4 and winning game two 7-4.

The losses drop Coker to 5-6 overall, and 1-2 in the conference, while Limestone improves to 6-3 overall, and 2-1 in the conference.

Game One
Game one was a pitcher’s duel through the first three innings of play with neither pitcher giving the other teams hitters anything to work with. It wasn’t until the top of the fourth that Limestone finally tallied a run, but Coker quickly answered with four runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning, giving Coker a 4-1 advantage.

Limestone responded with three runs in the top of the fifth evening things at four and then with a pair of runs in the sixth they took the lead and the eventual win, 6-4.
