HARTSVILLE, S.C. – When the South Carolina State Legion Baseball Tournament begins on Friday, there will not be a shortage of Coker baseball players both past and present representing the Cobra program. Three current players and one former player will all travel to Columbia, S.C. to take part in the 2010 tournament.

Current players Chad Nader (Rock Hill, S.C.) and Seth Rainey (Rock Hill, S.C.) will be representing Rock Hill Post 34, while Dan Meyer (Murrells Inlet, S.C.) will be representing Murrells Inlet Post 178.

As luck would have it, Post 34 will take on Post 178 in the opening game of the tournament Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. Meyer is slated to be the starting pitcher for Post 178, while Nader will be starting at either second base or short stop for Post 34 and Rainey will most likely be coming out of the bullpen to close the game with his team leading four saves this summer.

On the other side of the field will be former Cobra Trey Lynch, class of 2010. Lynch is one of the assistant coaches for Florence Post 1. Lynch has helped guide Post 1 to a state leading 27 wins this season. Post 1 will take on Gaffney at 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon.
