Coker Men’s Basketball Gets Another Australian

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College men's basketball coach Dan Schmotzer announced today that Patrick Emery has agreed to play for the Cobras.

"Patrick is an excellent combo guard that will help us in multiple ways," said Schmotzer. "He can handle the ball, pass and shoot very well, so I expect him to contribute right away."

Emery is a 6-foot-1-inch guard from Wollstonecraft, New South Wales. He attended The Scots College, playing basketball, rugby and cross country. He was the New South Wales state team leading scorer, the captain of the U18 national champion squad and three-time team MVP.

Patrick is the son of Dennis and Meredith Emery.

The addition of Emery runs the total of Australians on the Coker roster to four. He joins current Cobras Bryce Arnott and Andrew Morris, and fellow incoming freshman Callum Jenkins.
