Coker Men's Volleyball Picked Seventh in Conference Preseason Poll
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's volleyball team has been picked to finish seventh in the Conference Carolinas preseason poll, the league announced today.
Conference tournament runner-up Mount Olive edged out conference champion Pfeiffer University for first place with 60 points and four first-place votes.
Coker is set to play its first season of men's volleyball this year. The Cobras' roster includes players from all over the world. Along with players who call the United States home, head coach Todd Caughlin has recruited talent from Canada, Venezuela and the Ivory Coast.
The inaugural season for Coker begins Jan. 25 at the Pfeiffer Invitational.
The men's volleyball preseason poll is as follows: 1. Mount Olive; 2. Pfeiffer; 3. Limestone; 4. Lees-McRae; 5. King; 6. Belmont Abbey; 7. Coker; 8. Barton; 9. Erskine.
