HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College Head Softball Coach David Hanna announced the signing of Katie Lee to a National Letter of Intent to play softball for the Cobras in 2011-12. Lee is a native of Debary, Fla. where she is a standout player at Deland High School.

A National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar-Athlete in 2010, Lee was a First Team All-Area selection and a member of the Five Star Conference Championship team. A pitcher, Lee had a 1.44 ERA in 68 innings with 68 strikeouts in 2010. She is president of the senior class and is the managing editor of the Deland High School Newspaper.

Lee becomes one of three players signed by Coach Hanna during the early signing period to play for the Cobras during the 2012 season.
