Coker Women Finish 14th at Tusculum/Kiawah Intercollegiate
KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Coker women's golf team earned a 14th place finish at the Tusculum/Kiawah Intercollegiate on Sunday after firing a team total of 338 (+50) in the second round.
Krista Thorpe (Bracebridge, Ontario) had the low round on Sunday for the Cobras with an 82, followed by Mallory Thompkins (Georgetown, S.C.) with an 84. Sara Allen (Fort Mill, S.C.) shot an 85, while Jessi McKenzie (McBee, S.C.) and Bobbi McKenzie (McBee, S.C.) carded scores of 87 and 88 respectively.
Lynn University captured the team championship with a record setting two round total of 582 (+6), with Florida Southern placing second and Barry University in third.
The Cobra women will be back to action on Feb. 20 when they travel to Hilton Head, S.C. to play in the Newberry Invitational.
