HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College women's tennis coach Tom Simpson announced today that Sarah Elliott (Pawleys Island, S.C.) has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Cobras.
Elliott joins Coker from Waccamaw High School. During her career she's won two state championships, been all-region five times, all-state twice and selected to the Toast of the Coast team four times. She holds a 39-6 record in high school play and made the North/South All-Star Tournament in 2012.
"Sarah has the skillset to have an immediate impact with our team," Simpson said. "She has the determination and desire to get better, and I wouldn't be surprised to see her in our lineup as a freshman. I look forward to working with her as a Coker Cobra."
Sarah is the daughter of Barry and Denita Elliott.
Elliott is the second player Simpson has plucked from Waccamaw. Current freshman Casey Altman joined the Cobras this fall.
