Thomasville, N.C.- Coker College’s Kendyl Seawright has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas women's cross country Runner of the Week during week number one in the 2008 season. Seawright broke her own school record with a time of 19:40 as the Lady Cobras opened the 2008 season at the Gamecock Invitational. The junior from Manalapan, NJ placed first overall in the Division II portion of the race defeating her closest opponent by more than 20 seconds. Seawright’s first place finish also helped lead the Lady Cobras to a third place finish as a team.

The Cobra runners return to the course on Saturday, September 6, as they travel to the UNC-Pembroke Invitational for their first meet under the leadership of Coach Keith Solverson.
