In his first season leading the Cobra cross country teams, Finora the Cobras combined for 10 top-25 finishes, with the men totaling six and the women totaling four. Both the men and women's teams finished in the top-5 at the Pre-Conference Meet, with the men finishing third and women finishing fifth.
Finora also had two academic all-conference selections, Devan Williams (women) and Thad Sulek (men) during the 2012-13 season.
Finora was promoted to head cross country coach in June of 2012. He also serves as the assistant women's basketball coach, a position he has held since joining the Cobra staff in 2010.
A native of St. Catherines, Ontario, Vic joins the Cobras after a coaching stint in Iceland. Finora was the head coach for three KR Basketball Club teams including U19, U17, and U16. Vic coached seven players that are now playing for Iceland youth national teams. He also was an assistant coach for the Men's Professional Team of the Iceland Express League.
Prior to his time in Iceland, Vic served as an assistant coach at Alabama A&M University and also saw time as a graduate assistant at the University of Kentucky and Georgetown College. Finora also has experience at the high school level, where he was the assistant varsity boys coach for Lakeshore Catholic High School. While at Lakeshore Finora helped guide the team to a 35-6 record, the best in school history, and a spot in the Southern Ontario Secondary Schools Athletic Association (S.O.S.S.A.) Tournament.
He earned his bachelor's degree from William Penn University, where he earned a B.A. in Business Managemnt and Sports Administration. While at William Penn he was a three year player. Upon graduation Vic earned his master's degree from the University of Kentucky, where he earned an M.S. in Sports Leadership and Coaching.
Finora and head coach/wife, Jenny, live in Hartsville with their three furry children, their dogs and their newest addition son Emjay.
