Cobra Spotlight- Carley Bailey, Softball
The "Cobra Spotlight" is a weekly highlight of a student-athlete at Coker College. Each week we take a different athlete from a different sport and display some facets to get more familiar with them. This week we take a look at Ashley Gallman and Carley Bailey, members of the softball team.
Name: Carley Bailey

Why did you choose Coker? I liked that Coker was small and close to home, but softball probably played the biggest part in my decision to attend school here.
What is your best memory at Coker (athletic related)? The first time we did our sprint test for softball; seven people threw up within the first two minutes. That’s how you know it’s going to be a good season!
What is your best memory at Coker (non-athletic related)? Getting a 4.0 during my first semester of college is the best non-athletic memory so far.
Which athletic team would you play on at Coker other than your own? Women’s basketball! I have played since I was 6 and all throughout high school.

What is something people may not know about you? I wear my socks inside out.
Do you have a nickname? If so, how did you get it? When I was younger people called me ‘turtle’ because I was slow and stuck my head out when I ran; as I got faster I eventually became a ninja turtle.
