BREVARD, N.C. – The Coker Cobras baseball team dropped its South Atlantic Conference opener to the Brevard Tornados on Friday (Feb. 6) afternoon, 11-5
Bryson Conner and Jack Leech led the Cobras at the plate with two hits each. Conner had a double and scored four of Coker's five runs, while Leech drove in a pair of runs. Taylor Fennewald and Michael Orlowski also drove in a run each for the Cobras.
Dallas Baldwin (0-1) suffered the loss on the mound. He allowed five runs on seven hits with a strikeout in two innings on the hill.
The Cobras will complete their three-game conference series with the Tornados with a doubleheader on Saturday (Feb. 7). First pitch for game one is slated for noon, followed by game two at 3 p.m.
