Cobras Ready for Three-Game SAC Series Against Bulldogs
The Coker baseball team will play host to the Wingate Bulldogs in a three-game South Atlantic Conference series on Friday (Feb. 13) and Saturday (Feb. 14).

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College baseball team is set to host the visiting Wingate University Bulldogs in a three-game South Atlantic Conference weekend series at Tom J. New Field. Game one is slated for Friday (Feb. 13) at 2 p.m. while games two and three will be at noon and 3 p.m. on Saturday (Feb. 14). Live stats and broadcast can be found at www.cokercobras.com.
The Cobras come in at an even 3-3 on the season and are led offensively by the duo of Dustin Russell and Will Winslow. Each had an RBI in Coker's 2-1 comeback victory on Monday over St. Augustine's. Russell is batting .556 and has collected three RBIs on the season. Winslow is batting .429 with a double, a triple and two RBIs.
The Navy and Yellow pitching staff is led by Forrest Arnold and John Lauttenbach. Arnold has a 1-1 record to go along with a 0.82 ERA, while Lauttenbach has a 1-0 record with a team-high seven strikeouts and a 3.38 ERA.
The Bulldogs travel to Hartsville with a 4-2 overall and 1-2 in conference record. They are led by Thomas Spitz and Shane Billings who are batting .600 and .586. As a team, the Bulldogs have a SAC best 17 home runs.
Tickets for the game are available at the gate. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for students and all Coker faculty, staff and students get in free.
