Coker Splits SAC Twinbill at Lenoir-Rhyne
The Coker baseball team split its SAC doubleheader with Lenoir-Rhyne on Sunday (Mar. 15) winning game one 2-1 and losing game two 12-1.

HICKORY, N.C. – The Coker Cobras split their South Atlantic Conference baseball doubleheader at Lenoir-Rhyne on Sunday (Mar. 15). The Cobras won the first game of the day 2-1, but lost game two 12-1.
Forrest Arnold (2-5) earned the win on the mound in game one. He threw five and two-thirds innings, allowing just one run on seven hits with five punch-outs. Ryan Milner (1) picked up his first save of the season going an inning and a third on the hill with two strikeouts.
Joe Diaz led the way at the plate in game one. He went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Jack Leech drove in Coker's other run and finished the game 1-for-2.
In game two, Leech drove in Coker's only run, while Diaz went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Miguel Frias had a pair of hits and Alex Rodriguez had a double as well.
Anthony Scaccia (0-3) took the loss on the hill for the Cobras. He allowed two runs on a hit with two strikeouts in an inning of work.
The Cobras will return to the friendly confines of Tom J. New Field for their next game on Tuesday (Mar. 17) against Claflin. The non-conference contest will begin at 3 p.m.
