GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Coker Cobra baseball team lost the opening game of its three-game series with the Seton Hill Griffins 16-6 on Friday (March 11) afternoon.
After falling behind 16-0 the Cobras plated six runs in the final frame thanks to a three-run homer by Ryan Wayne and a three-run double by Bryson Conner.
Dallas Baldwin (2-2) was tagged with the loss. He allowed six runs on seven hits with four strikeouts in six innings on the hill.
Conner led the Cobras at the plate with a pair of hits including a double with three RBI. Wayne finished the day 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI, and Darius Coldiron added two hits including a double.
The Cobra and the Griffins will complete their three-game set on Saturday (March 12) with a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m. Live stats and audio of the games will be available on www.cokercobras.com.
