JEFFERSON CITY, TENN.- The Cobras dropped their South Atlantic Conference contest at Carson Newman 12-4 on Friday (Mar. 25).
Clint Allen recorded three hits in the loss while Scott Burnley collected two. AJ Strnad, Bryson Conner, Will Winslow, Thomas Lopez and Miguel Frias each tallied one hit. Lopez and Frias each knocked a long ball as well.
Dallas Baldwin (3-2) took the loss in the series opener. The right-hander tossed five innings allowing seven runs, four earned on seven hits along with one walk and five strikeouts.
The Cobras will come back tomorrow (Sat. Mar. 26) to finish up the series with a doubleheader. First pitch is set for 12:00 p.m.
