Gallman Promoted to Associate Head Coach

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker University Head Baseball Coach Fico Kondla has announced the promotion of Kyle Gallman to Associate Head Coach.

"This recognition is a reflection of years of loyalty, relentless hard work and an unwavering commitment to our baseball program and our student-athletes," said Kondla. He has earned the respect of everyone around him through his dedication, leadership and willingness to put the team first every single day. I couldn't be happier to see him take this next step."

Gallman joined the Cobra coaching staff in June 2022 as the program's pitching coach and recruiting coordinator and has played a key role in one of the most successful stretches in recent program history.

Upon his arrival, the Cobras posted back-to-back 30-win seasons, including a 31-20 record and second-place finish in the South Atlantic Conference in 2024, followed by a 30-22 campaign and fifth-place conference finish in 2025. During that span, Coker earned multiple victories over nationally ranked opponents and hosted a portion of the 2024 South Atlantic Conference Championship.

Under Gallman's leadership, the Cobra pitching staff has developed into one of the conference's best. After inheriting a staff with a 7.69 ERA in 2022, Gallman helped lower the team ERA to 5.83 in 2023, 4.92 in 2024 and 4.61 in 2025. The Cobras ranked second and third in the SAC in team ERA during those two seasons.

His pitchers have also earned significant individual recognition. Aaron Diaz received All-South Atlantic Conference honors in 2024, while Britton Adams was named Second Team All-SAC, earned multiple All-Region honors and became the first Coker pitcher since 2013 to earn ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II Southeast All-Region recognition. Coker also produced the SAC ERA leader in consecutive seasons with Ben Blackwell in 2024 and Adams in 2025.

In addition to his work with the pitching staff, Gallman has been instrumental in recruiting and player development while helping the program excel academically. During his tenure, the Cobras have continued to earn conference and national academic recognition, including six College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections in 2026.

A Coker alumnus, Gallman was a member of the 2013 team that advanced to the NCAA Division II College World Series. That team was inducted into the Coker Athletics Hall of Fame in 2022. He earned both his bachelor's degree in physical education and sport management in 2013 and his master's degree in college athletic administration in 2016 from Coker.

Prior to returning to his alma mater, Gallman spent seven seasons as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Francis Marion, where he helped the Patriots compile a 159-136 record while coaching numerous all-conference, all-region and All-American performers.
