Coker moves to 1-0 on the Season Against Ferrum

Hartsville, SC: The Cobras started off the Nick Pasqua era with a win against Ferrum College of the Conference Carolinas. Isayah Owens was the standout in the match with 29 points to his name when all was said and done.

How it Happened:

• Coker jumped out to an early lead of 8-3 with Jonah Vaysbakh hitting back-to-back 3 pointers, followed by Matthew Knafelz.
• Coker maintained the lead until the 9 minute when Ferrum made a layup to make the score 16-14.
• Ferrum was able to grow its lead to 6 points. (29-23)
• Isayah Owens went on to make back-to-back jumpers to bring and made a trip to the line to retake the lead for the Cobras 30 29.
• The rest of the half was very back and forth between both teams, but going into the halftime break, Ferrum had the lead 38-34
• Coming out of the halftime break, Coker and Ferrum were going shot-for-shot until Predrag Ponisic hit back-to-back-to-back 3 pointers to retake the lead 55-54. 
• The Cobras never gave up the lead again, pushing their lead up to 8 points after a Zundra Jackson DUNK!!!
• The Cobras never took their foot off the gas as they cruised to an 8-point margin to finish out the game, moving to 1-0 on the season.
